The fund raiser, Amberly's Week In Paradise, started as a result of Project CENTRL averages over $50,000 annually to aid the individuals served by Amberly's Place..

In 2004, he ran for his first public office and was elected to the Yuma County Board of Supervisors. He was re-elected in November 2008, November of 2012 and again in November 2016. He is currently serving his fourth term and is currently serving as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Supervisors.
