CENTRL REGIONAL CONNECTIONS (CRC)

The CENTRL Alumni Committee holds at least two Regional Connections throughout the year in  unique parts of the state. The events serve multiple purposes including reconnecting with alumni, recruiting future classes and meeting the current class. The Committee also helps to supplement and enhance the current class' curriculum by highlighting parts of Rural Arizona's economies that aren't covered: like tourism, the military, economic development, tribal relations and so much more!

CENTRL Regional Connection in Casa Grande

    Friday February 4 - Saturday February 5, 2022

    Beyond the Headlines

Join us in Casa Grande to get beyond the headlines of shortage and hear from locals involved in the day-to-day lives of water in Pinal County. On Friday 2/4/22 at 6pm - 8pm and again on Saturday 2/5/22 at 9am we'll gather at the historic Paramount Theater in Casa Grande. We'll hear from local farmers, elected officials, developers and water experts from Central Arizona Project and local irrigation districts so you deepen your understanding of what will really happen in Pinal County in 2022 and beyond.

Speakers confirmed as of 1/25/21 include:

Friday: Casa Grand Mayor,Craig McFarland; CAP Board President Terry Goddard

Saturday: Bobby Wuertz, Class 22 Land Advisors; Gary McKenzie, Farm Inc.; Daniel Jones, Water Attorney at Salmon, Lewis & Weldon; and Shane Lindstrom, San Carlos Irrigation and Drainage District.

Both days: great food; time for networking with alumni, local experts and those interested in learning more about CENTRL.

With so much to discuss on this topic, we won't have any tours or offsite activities; just lots of time to learn, connect and discuss this critical issue to Arizona. Complimentary registration is required thanks to CAP and Foothills Bank. Dinner and lunch will be served. You can join for Friday only, Saturday only or both; just make your selection in the registration process.
