Bio
Paul Brierley is a graduate of Project CENTRL Class XVI, past-President of the CENTRL Alumni Council, and past CENTRL board member where he was Nominating Chairman and Curriculum Chairman - spearheading the adjustment to a 1-year curriculum.

Paul grew up working on his family’s farm, majored in Computer Science and worked in telecommunications research before deciding to move to rural Arizona and get back to his agricultural roots. For twelve years he operated Brierley Custom Hay in Safford. During that time Paul served in leadership of the County Farm Bureau and Republican Party.

Following Project CENTRL, Paul’s desire to impact the critical issues facing agriculture and rural Arizona led to a 10-year career as Director of Organization at the Arizona Farm Bureau. Paul was the inaugural executive director of the University of Arizona's Yuma Center of Excellence for Desert Agriculture, and currently serves as Director of the Arizona Department of Agriculture.

He is a graduate of the Flinn-Brown Civic Leadership Academy, and has served on many boards including Arizona and Yuma County Farm Bureau, Arizona and Southwest Arizona Town Hall, Arizona District Export Council, Aerospace Arizona, Yuma Multiversity Campus, Greater Yuma Economic Development Corporation, and Yuma County Chamber of Commerce.
