Bio
Christina Boyd is a native Arizonan, raised in Casa Grande. Upon graduation, she attended Central Arizona College and the University of Arizona. The next few years were spent working for Chickasha Cotton Oil Company in the cotton marketing department and later at Abbott Laboratories as an HR Assistant before deciding to stay home to raise her growing family. She spent the next 17 years as a stay at home mom, homeschooling her 4 children. Being actively involved in her community, she participated in Mi C.A.S.A. Homeschooling Support Group, C.A.T.S (Central Arizona Trap and Skeet), and Big Shots 4H Club. During her time in C.A.T.S. and Big Shots 4H, she became a leader and coach, and along with her family, raised pigs for the club’s yearly fundraiser.
Christina found herself rejoining the workforce later in life, and back in the world of HR (which is her passion) and is pursuing further education. Currently, she is the Director of HR & Safety for Electrical District No. 3 in the City of Maricopa.
As an honored member of Project CENTRL – Class 28, I look forward to the experience and opportunities that I will be provided and am eager to find out how I can better serve rural Arizona, benefiting both my community and employer.
