Bio

Craig McGinnis is a sixth-generation Arizonan, born and raised in Tempe with ties to rural Arizona back to the mid-19th century. In addition to being a die-hard Arizona sports fan, he enjoys golf, fishing, and road trips throughout the state.

In his professional duties, Craig is a Water Rights Analyst at Salt River Project, where he specializes in water law, policy, and infrastructure. Prior to his joining SRP in March of 2023, he worked for the Arizona Department of Water Resources on matters relating to the Colorado River, and interned in Washington, D.C. with the House Committee on Natural Resources, specializing in the Subcommittee on Water, Power, and Oceans. He is a graduate of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and holds a Master of Legal Studies degree with a focus in Law and Sustainability.
