Ronald Honyumptewa has over 27 years of experience in law enforcement, having held key leadership positions including Chief of Police, Commander, and Sergeant. His career reflects a deep commitment to public safety, community engagement, and effective leadership. He previously served as Director of the Department of Public Safety and Emergency Services for the Hopi Tribe, where he oversaw critical programs in law enforcement, structural fire, EMS, and victim services, working to enhance safety and emergency preparedness across tribal communities.

Currently, Ronald Honyumptewa serves as a Board Member for the Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation. In this role, he is a strong advocate for equitable healthcare access, with a focus on addressing the unique health needs of diverse tribal populations. He collaborates with fellow board members and healthcare leaders to develop culturally responsive strategies that promote wellness, mitigate health disparities, and strengthen community resilience.
